2004 Suzuki Cruisers Marauder 1600

The Marauder 1600 has a new 1552cc, 8-valve SOHC, liquid-cooled, fuel injected V-twin engine designed for strong throttle response and quick acceleration at all engine rpm. Its compact combustion chamber design with large 37mm intake valves and 33mm exhaust valves provide optimum intake efficiency and boost low-end-torque.

  1. i'll try again. this is the third time i've had to type this message because you keep saying i entered the wrong word!!
    I have a new 04 Marauder 1600 and have logged 6k on it this summer. For the most part i love the bike ...HOWEVER ... during the 1st week of riding it, it developed a clatter (valve?) when i acellerate at the 2500 to 3000 rpm range. The dealer tells me that it just the way the engine sounds. Is this true? Does anyone else have this clatter? I would think that if it was a charistic of the engine that at least one of the reviews would have mentioned it.
    Any way any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks TJ
